In early 2008 A J Mayr was successful with their contractual bid to supply The Blue water Joint Venture (Veolia / John Holland) with services for the Fabrication, Hydrostatic testing, Pickling, Passivation and Supply of the reverse osmosis skid pipe work for the Sydney Desalination Project.
These project quality standards were achieved with A J Mayr's ISO 9001 Quality systems and in house extensive expertise in exotic material fabrication with the primary material component utilised being SAF 2507 & SAF 2205.
Project Critical Achievements were:
- Delivery Schedule and tolerances achieved by utilizing specialised complex jigging techniques
- In House Design and Fabrication of a custom built 18,000 L aerated passivation bath to ASTM A380
- In House Custom made Hydrostatic Test Facility
- Dedicated Team of Specialist Pipe Fabricators and Welders
- Dedicated Material Handling Techniques ensuring zero cross contamination with carbon steels
- 100% traceability for the works including welding consumables, hydrostatic water, 3rd Party Material certificates, Passivation Duration Times, NDT.
- Experienced Project Management Team
The final product produced for this Project has established A J Mayr as the market leader in the field of SAF 2507 & SAF 2205 Handling, Fabrication, Hydro Testing, Pickling & Passivation.
