A J Mayr was awarded the contract for the fabrication of 11 off 830 E Truck Bodies for P&H MinePro Services P/L. The order involved the receipt, fabrication, welding, machining and painting of the Truck Bodies under a tight schedule with all 11 off Truck Bodies to be supplied between the end of October 2010 and the end of January 2011.

 

In 2010, A J Mayr fabricated a Boom Frame Assembly for one of the Hunter Valley Mines. The Boom Frame Assembly was a critical path item that had to be fabricated, trial assembled, painted, fully assembled and transported in minimal time as the Mine shutdown was already underway when the frame was ordered. As a result of A J Mayr’s achievement with providing a high quality product in minimal time, A J Mayr were asked to quote on the fabrication of Truck Bodies to suit Komatsu trucks that were utilised in one of the Hunter Valley Mine’s.

 

The truck Bodies are a P&H MinePro patented design and fabricated from Hardox 450 plate. Strict control of fabrication tolerances and welding parameters are a requirement to ensure the end product’s performance and durability in accordance with the design parameters. The payload for each tray is in the order of 220 tonnes once in service.
