Kumar Perumal buys A J Mayr Engineering
A Sydney-based businessman has bought A J Mayr Engineering Pty Ltd, an international fabrication and construction company.
Kumar Perumal took control of the company that was founded near the port of Newcastle in the Hunter Valley of NSW, Australia, in 1971 by Tony Forstner.
Mr Perumal launched an Australia-wide search to identify a company to invest in.
“In A J Mayr, I recognised a company with a sound back ground in a growing market and that I felt had bright prospects for future growth,” Mr Perumal said.
“I am also very committed to the principle of the right employees being the most important asset of any company and A J Mayr had a sound and motivated workforce. I will be looking now to assigning the right staff to the right positions to strategically build the company and take A J Mayr to bigger and better things.”
Mr Perumal recognised the foundations the company founder had set.
“A platform has been set that I believe I and the company’s employees can use to make A J Mayr world-renowned for its product quality and delivery.
Mr Perumal’s son, Nilhan, will be a joint Director and hands-on executive of the company.
